We enjoyed the birds singing in the morning and a cute little chipmunk that seemed to live nearby. Cabin 3, the larger family cabin with its own bathroom, was clean and cozy when we arrived. There was a small trap under one bed, presumably for mice, but we never saw or heard any. The beds were clean with no stains like another review mentioned, and each had two pillows and a comforter. The bathroom was clean, with plenty of fresh towels, hand soap, paper towel, and toilet paper. Shampoo and conditioner were there too, though we didn’t use them. Our cabin had six outlets, plenty for charging devices. Maybe cabins 1 and 2 have fewer, since they share a separate bathroom. Inside there was also a small fridge, microwave we didn’t use, hair dryer, Keurig, kettle, and a few coffee pods with sweetener and Coffee Mate. There was a little breakfast nook table for two and a chair by the window. Heaters with clear instructions were available, but we didn’t need them. It stayed comfortable even when nights dropped to 6-8°C. The shared area had a nice hexagon picnic table, firepit that could use a quick clean-out, and lots of chairs. The ground is uneven, with wood chips and rocks, so watch your step. There’s a BBQ, but the grill was quite rusty, so we cooked using our own cast iron pan. The dish wash tub and kids’ trampoline were nice touches. Motion lights guide the path from the nearby parking area. The light on our cabin stopped working on the second night, but the property was lit well enough overall. Optional patio or string lights might help, since the motion lights go off quickly. We stayed two nights, October 6, 7 and 8, 2025, and paid $87 a night. For nature lovers, this glamping stay was perfect for us, but I wouldn’t pay more than $87 for this room. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and only minutes from Tobermory and hiking trails. Don’t expect a Sheraton. We’d stay again, but only in cabin 3, the family cabin with a private bathroom.

The room smelled bad, was dirty, and had hard stains on the bed. The place seemed poorly maintained, and the advertising felt false. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. If it were a couple hundred cheaper, it would feel much fairer for what you get. I’d never come back, and I don’t understand the positive reviews.

We paid $600 for one night, with a shared bathroom and poor customer service. There were cobwebs throughout the tiny room, nails sticking up from the floor, and stains everywhere, so we couldn’t even tell whether the sheets had been changed. We were charged nearly $250 in cash penalties for bringing our small service dog, who was perfectly behaved. The owners wouldn’t discuss any of it with us, even though we were model clients staying just one evening. This place was terrible in every possible way. I’d look at other properties.

We ended up having a great two-night stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again, though some people may be less comfortable with the things we noticed. The cabins are small, about 10x12 inside, but enough for two since you’re not indoors all day. Ours was super clean, and the layout worked better than we expected for a little outdoor cabin. There’s a small fridge, microwave, and personal Keurig. The bathroom is shared with cabins 1 and 2, but it was perfectly fine for using and showering. We visited in mid-September, and the cabin got damp at night, though the small modern electric heater worked well for the space. One thing I’d add is a small bedside light, since there’s only the 60-100 watt wall bulb. At $160 per night it felt a bit expensive for the location and cabin, maybe just the tourism pricing. Other places in town cost more, but many are right by town and the tourist spots, which can save on parking. The drive or walk is short, but you still have to make it. We booked because of the reviews and because nowhere else in town was available. It wasn’t quite what my wife and I expected, but taking a chance turned out to be probably the best decision we could have made.

We had a mini fridge and microwave in the room, and could use the BBQ and firepit without bringing our own wood. The bathroom wasn’t attached to our room, but it was newly renovated and very nice. It’s a great place to stay, and I’d definitely visit again.
