Coach House Inn

We brought our dog and they kindly set us up in a pet-friendly room. The pool and rooms were spotless and newly renovated, and the staff were so friendly. Pricing was reasonable, and the Coach House Inn is close to the surrounding excursions. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Tobermory.

The modern bathroom was the one bright spot, with its large acrylic shower. The rest of the room had too many problems: the toilet seat was broken, an outlet was loose, and the floor shifted underfoot. The TV picture was snowy, with most channels too unclear to watch, and the internet went out that evening. Noise from the room above kept me from sleeping well. Stay somewhere else.

We paid 200$+ for a room advertised with two double beds for four people, and it wasn't worth it. The beds were so small that two people could barely fit, especially if they're tall or a bit bigger. When we asked for another mattress, they gave us a baby bed for a 6feet 1inch guy! There were lots of bugs, poor lighting, and the coffee maker was dirty. When we asked about it, the reply was rude. The TV didn't work, and the bathroom was tiny, with shower pressure so strong it could tear your skin. The photos are heavily edited and don't show what you actually get. We were also offered free wood for posting a review. I'd ask people not to do that for a freebie, since it boosts their rating while other guests may run into all these issues. This kind of misleading marketing should be fined. They need to stop exploiting people.

The staff were friendly, and parking was easy, right in front of the cabin. The rooms were below average, though. The bedside reading lights and the plug socket didn't work. The heater seemed like it hadn't been used or cleaned in ages. Turning it on sent dust into the air and brought a musty, mould-like smell.
