The owner was pleasant, and the place was quiet, but the room was dirty and badly dated. The bed was the hardest and most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. There was no shampoo or coffee, and spiders and cobwebs covered the outside of the door. I couldn’t shower because the water stayed dirty and rusty, even after I let it run for a while.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so we’d stay again. We ended up here by accident after driving about two hours past the exit for our usual budget motel on route 20. This one is at exit 191 and is being renovated. Prices start at $61, and our single room for two came to $81 with tax. There’s a take-out restaurant and a convenience store in the complex, with some interesting faux fur items. Not bad for the price. 3 STARS
We booked at the last minute because it was cheap, and got what we paid for. Even though our room was marked non-smoking, it smelled a bit. The receptionist was rude, and the whole place felt very outdated. I’d skip it if I could.
It gave us a roof for the night, but the place was pretty dated. The non-smoking rule seemed to have been added without any updates or renovations beforehand. As others have said, sleeping in a car could be a similar alternative.
The staff were very helpful and more than willing to speak English so I could get a room. If it’s after 11pm, go to the gas station next door for rooms. The gentleman working there was very polite and bilingual.
