The stay was good overall, and after work I was so tired I barely noticed the mattress. It wasn’t hard, which was good. I was glad housekeeping didn’t move our things off the bed, but they left a magazine picture of a topless woman under the sink. I have a good sense of humor, though it could’ve been a different situation if a parent or child had found it. My main concern was the dead bugs and blood on the walls, and there was what I hope was bug blood on the curtains too.

For the price, it’s passable, especially for a single night, or two if needed. The staff were really friendly and the place was clean. The room was small but had a big bed, and it smelled a little funny at first, though the smell went away, or you just got used to it. The paint was peeling, and the shower’s hot and cold water were switched around. It took me longer than I’d like to admit to figure that out. I give this two-star hotel five stars.

Stay away. The room was filthy, and it definitely wasn’t following COVID cleaning rules. The phone and walls hadn’t been dusted in ages. I could write my name on them. The bathtub was rusty and dirty, and the sheets, comforter and throw had stains. The coffee machine had an empty container, with no sugar or creamer. There was leftover takeout from previous guests in the fridge, and tiles on the floor were cracked. There were too many problems to list.

We came to Orangeville to hike, so we just needed a place to sleep and get cleaned up. It’s easy on the wallet and does the job. Check-in was easy, but the rooms and hotel are showing their age. I can hear the neighbors’ TV right now, and I don’t think they even have it turned up loud. It’s definitely a budget hotel. If you want a fancy stay, pay for a fancy hotel.

The sheets were stained, there were no bath towels, and the bathroom floor tiles were broken. Part of the hotel lock on the door was missing, and even the hallway was dirty, like maybe the vacuum was broken. I’m only in town for work. I’d never bring my family here. During COVID-19, this place should have been spotless, but I’m not sure it had had a proper cleaning since before COVID.
