For $23 per person, the hotel's restaurant had a good breakfast buffet. The rooms were clean with wooden floors, the gym was well equipped, the half-outdoor pool was nice, staff were friendly, and the pricing seemed reasonable for the facilities. It's also conveniently close to Magog. Still, our easy couple's getaway at the end of November didn't go as planned. We live nearby and had stayed before, figuring the likely cold weather wouldn't matter with so much to do inside. But the jacuzzi was broken and a horde of kids had taken over the entertainment room. At checkout, I mentioned being disappointed and got an apology, but I expected some kind of gratuity or credit toward a future stay. We could also hear everything in the corridor through our room door, and our neighbors that weekend were unusually inconsiderate. I may think twice about returning outside summer or winter. It should have been a five-star stay, though I wouldn't rate it as low as three. We still enjoyed the break.

The room was better than expected, and the pillows and pull-out couch were really comfortable. The pool and breakfast buffet also exceeded our expectations. The air conditioning worked perfectly with its digital thermostat, and there was a washer and dryer in the room. We also enjoyed the good food and nice beer at the Burger Pub. Overall, excellent.

The rooms were good overall and the location was good, but the pool was dirty and the playroom sofa wasn't clean. The staff quality was the worst I've ever seen, and I'll never go back. After a long drive with two tired kids, we arrived 20 minutes early and were told the room wasn't ready. That wasn't what upset me, it was the cold, rude manner, with no hello or smile. When I asked for a cup of water for my child, the woman snapped that I had to bring my own because it was written there. There was a water tap, but no cups. I was so disappointed by the lack of basic hospitality that we left after one night instead of staying three.

Really nice rooms, an awesome gym and a hot tub, plus Nespresso machines in the room. There's plenty to do in and around the hotel.
