The bright, cheerful place was a delight, and the breakfast was a happy surprise. I stayed in a medium-sized room on a summer Saturday night and could walk to Ottawa's downtown sights, then cab back. The staff were friendly and had good advice about events. I'll stay again.

Kathy and her young staff were so friendly and always willing to help with directions or recommendations. The hot breakfast was fabulous, and coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and muffins were always there in the pretty sitting room. This quaint B&B is an easy walk from downtown Ottawa. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Ottawa.

Albert House has become my favorite place to stay in Ottawa. I come up at least once a year for meetings and have tried lots of places. It's a sweet bed and breakfast, with nice rooms in a classical style. The best part is the staff: the ladies are all so friendly and sweet. Canadians are generally polite, of course, but these people feel like instant friends and family.

A word to the wise: if you need a cab, walk up the street to the bigger hotel. I've stayed here twice, and having breakfast ready without any hassle is convenient. It's always tasty, too.

I walked over to the War Museum and highly recommend it. This was a unique and comfortable place for me to stay, with a great breakfast. It's a nice option away from the mainstream.
