Byward Blue Inn

The price was such a good deal that two nights here cost less than one night out in downtown Toronto. Our room was small, but it had a sink, a mini fridge, and the comfiest bed. Breakfast was free, tasty, and filling. There’s also a courtyard with individual gas bar-b q for spring and summer, and great artwork throughout the place. We stayed last weekend and were glad we found it.

The comfort of the mattress, a filling breakfast, and really good coffee all stood out. The room had everything I needed, and the hotel felt cozy and welcoming despite the older building. It’s been fully renovated inside, and both the room and the rest of the hotel were exceptionally clean. Thanks to everyone, from the front desk at check-in and check-out to housekeeping and the restaurant staff. Your professionalism made the stay worry-free. Given the location, service, cleanliness, and price, I don’t think Ottawa has a better hotel.

The breakfast included with the stay was outstanding, and the whole building and our room were impressively clean. Front desk staff were fantastic, with service that went beyond what we expected. We had a lovely stay, and the room came with thoughtful amenities we hadn’t expected but really appreciated. Will return :)

The little things in our room were noticed and appreciated, from the fresh cream or milk and large bottle of water refilled daily in the fridge to the soft towels and makeup and shaving mirror. Breakfast and fresh coffee each morning were wonderful too. We spent three nights here as a retired senior couple, and the front desk staff and housekeepers were friendly and helpful. The hotel and our room were spotless, and the amenities felt like what you’d expect in a "5" star hotel. Even the stairwells were safe and clean, with artwork on the walls. We can’t thank the place and staff enough for a wonderful Ottawa stay. We’ll be back and would recommend it to everyone. Vic & Jeanette Geiger
