GLō Best Western Kanata Ottawa West

Breakfast downstairs was a big hit, especially the waffle making for the kids. We had a mini fridge and a TV in the room too, both handy with children, and the hotel provided a playpen crib for our 2-year-old, which helped a lot. The room had two queen beds, perfect for our family of five, and was spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean, and I really appreciated the bright, well-lit room, since many hotels fall short there. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We had a wonderful stay, and I'd highly recommend it for families.

Getting to and from the highway was easy, and the rooms were clean with a nice modern design. Breakfast was included, and the front desk service was very good. The parking spaces could be roomier. Accessible parking is on the side of the building, not at the front.

I was surprised by how good the hotel was. It feels brand new, with modern rooms, comfortable beds, and very spacious bathrooms. Parking was easy, and the location is good for the highway. I especially liked the adjustable built-in white noise system in the rooms, a great feature for sleeping. The price was very competitive with other hotels too. I'd definitely stay here!

For $225 per night, the value was extremely poor. I stayed in room 205, and the bathroom was badly cleaned and unhygienic. There was visible dirt on the tiles, and debris was falling off the shower door into the drain. The mini fridge didn't work at all, and the room felt drafty, with cold outside air coming in by the window. The TV also couldn't play Netflix or any other streaming services, which was inconvenient. The staff were very nice and noted the issues as we left, but nothing further was done. I wouldn't recommend the hotel unless significant improvements are made.
