Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Ottawa Kanata by IHG

We’ve stayed at plenty of hotels for hockey tournaments, and this was easily our best experience. The staff are the reason. When we arrived Thursday after a long drive, Paul greeted us with a huge, genuine smile and such good energy. We felt welcome right away, and that warmth continued through our extra night on Sunday after a late game. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and clearly cared for. Housekeeping was friendly and kind, even during check-in, and Dave was wonderful too. The kids had a great weekend. For family downtime, the location worked perfectly, with an arcade across the street and lots of restaurants in the plaza. On Monday morning, the staff brought us chairs and water while we were having coffee, without being asked. Paul also surprised the girls with custom certificates for their Painted Purple Tournament championship win. It meant so much to the team and parents, and we’ll never forget it. The on-site French restaurant was great too, with incredible food and the best martinis. We arrived on Thursday and added Sunday night because of a late game. From start to finish, the Kanata Inn and Suites felt welcoming. I don’t know how so many lovely people ended up working in one place, but they did. Whether you’re here for a tournament, family trip, or just need somewhere good to stay, I’d recommend it highly. We’ll absolutely be back.

I’d brought only a USBC charger, but the hotel had regular USB plugs. I needed my phone for a morning meeting, and Peter at the front desk offered me his own charger for the night. He didn’t have to do that, but he helped without hesitation. Very friendly guy, and he really saved me. Thanks, Peter. I hope management gives him the recognition he deserves.

We had a really good stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata. The beds were cozy, and our spacious room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with all the amenities we needed. Staff were warm and helpful and made the visit enjoyable. Breakfast was fresh with a nice range of choices, and the location made it convenient to explore Kanata. We’ll definitely come back next time.

We spent one night here to go to a Senators game and had a great visit. Our end room at the end of the hall was huge and very clean, with a very nice large walk-in shower. The man at the front desk was welcoming and gave us useful information about bus routes and the area. Desiree at the bar looked after us phenomenally. I’d give her extra stars if I could.
