Ottawa Marriott Hotel

I was on the 10th floor and had a really nice stay. The room was nice, the bed comfy, and the staff were pleasant and gave me lots of suggestions for nearby activities. There was some renovation noise in the daytime, and I could hear the elevators going up and down from my room. It was noticeable, but not too bad. The service was great.

The room was comfortable and well maintained, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rest was disappointing. The hallways and shared areas weren't clean, and the restaurant service was extremely poor, with unprofessional staff and breakfast far below expectations. Parking also cost an unreasonable amount. If you stay here, I'd strongly recommend avoiding the restaurant.

The pool was excellent, and our family loved having dedicated teen and kids' rooms to keep everyone entertained. The newly renovated rooms look fantastic and feel fresh. Sam at reception deserves a special mention for making check-in seamless and being incredibly helpful. The lounge was closed during our visit, but everything else was top-notch. Great stay at the Marriott Ottawa, especially for families.

The people made this a wonderful stay. Sam at the front desk helped set up our family reunion, and when freezing rain meant we needed to extend, Abdallah made the arrangements seamless and looked after us. As a Platinum member, I appreciated the extra perks, including breakfast and afternoon appetizers while the concierge lounge was closed. At Spin, Albert welcomed us warmly each morning and made sure we had a table. We also met Chef Hesham, who came out to introduce himself, and Hiba at the front desk greeted us with a smile each morning and was very accommodating with our larger group. I looked forward to seeing her. The pool was a great size and more than 8 feet deep. The gym had a good range of machines and room to work out, and the Teen room with its basketball court and the arcade were nice additions. I had hesitated about staying downtown in winter, and had seen reviews about renovations and noise, but the work was barely noticeable and didn't affect our visit. I'm glad we stayed, and the hotel should be even nicer when the renovations are done. The only small drawback was the parking garage, where the tight turns can feel intimidating in a larger vehicle. The service made the experience, and I'd absolutely return.
