The host is wonderful and happy to give recommendations for getting around downtown. The place is clean, has a kitchen for making homemade meals, and sits in a privileged location near several universities and places to visit. It works well for anything from one night to three weeks.
Quiet, clean, decent and non-smoking. Of all the hostels I've stayed in so far, this may be the best. My stay was the most rewarding of them all, and if I come to Ottawa, this would be my choice.
Way too pricey for what we got. The room was tiny, hot and humid, and the window wouldn't open. The lower part of the twin bed gave me a backache and wasn't comfortable at all.
A quiet little Vista, just minutes from downtown's hustle and bustle. All sorts of amenities are only steps from the front door.
Sleep was disturbed in the morning by the construction going on out front. Otherwise, the owner was really nice and caring.
