Welcominns Hotel Ottawa

At 3 am, a bunch of drunk or coked up men woke us and spent an hour doing their best Ric flair impression. Breakfast was a pretty unfortunate continental spread. The room itself wasn't awful, but it smelled strange, and the bed was made oddly, with one end of the mattress bare, the sheet dragging on the floor at the right, and barely covering the top on the left. There wasn't a real blanket either, just two top sheets with a thin poly filled liner between them. When we arrived with all our bags, a man behind the counter saw us struggling to get in, then left before we could reasonably expect help. He'd been chatting with the night manager.

The rooms are decent, and there's coffee available all day. The free breakfast is decent too. But on the few recent visits I've made, the towels and sheets have been stained. The walls are really thin, so I could hear the people next door blasting their TV and yelling. I called, and they handled it fairly. There's no Netflix or YouTube.

Check-in was quick and simple, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, clean, and well kept. The location was handy for everything I needed. I had a pleasant stay and would come back.

Clean place, welcoming staff, and a good breakfast. The price is a little lower, but the quality doesn't feel lower. Plenty of parking too.
