Spanish Villa Resort

The rooms smelled musty and didn't feel as if they'd been properly cleaned in a long time. In one, we found bed bugs on the mattress. My best friend and I had booked two beds, so I slept in her bed after we checked it for bugs too. We were moved to a supposedly better room, but bugs still crawled out of the bathtub and sinks. The place has serious hygiene and pest control problems, and management didn't seem to care. We asked Varinder for a partial refund because the rooms were so unsanitary and uncomfortable. He was rude, showed no sympathy or respect, and insulted us when we explained we'd rescheduled from Aug 28 - Aug 30 to Sept 25 - 27 because I injured my left ankle and couldn't walk for weeks. He dismissed our plea and gaslighted us over the rescheduling. This was one of the most unpleasant and unsanitary stays I've had. Please avoid it in summer or the off-season and spend your money somewhere that respects guests' health and comfort.

Simple, quiet, and accessible. Our place had everything we needed and was clean and peaceful. The kitchen came with utensils, so making meals was easy. The beach and restaurants were a short walk away, with a garden and museum nearby too. We absolutely loved our stay and appreciated how convenient and comfortable it was.

One suite had a broken AC and got extremely hot, so we spent both nights crowded into the other suite. Management said they'd refund 50% of the faulty room's cost for both nights. The discount was applied at first, but ten days later they charged my card again without notice or authorization. This property charged my credit card without permission, which is unacceptable. I emailed about other problems too. The BBQ area was full of garbage and unusable, the fridge made so much noise it disturbed our sleep, and the outdoor foot-washing shower had no water. I never got a proper response. The facilities are very old and poorly maintained, and customer service was unprofessional. I don't recommend Spanish Villa. Don't waste your money, book somewhere else.

The first two nights of our five-night stay were great. Then 12 Harley Davidson bikes arrived and seemed to take over. For the next two nights, the bikes and people were loud and obnoxious, stomping around until 2:30 in the morning. We left a day early and asked whether management would consider a refund. They wouldn't, and had front desk staff call us with the news instead of speaking to us directly. Other guests felt uncomfortable too. We spoke with several, including people with young children, who were glad to be leaving. Management should have done the right thing if they wanted repeat customers. We won't return and would recommend finding somewhere else. The place is going downhill fast, and so are its clients.
