The June Motel

The morning coffee and baked treats were a nice touch, and Katie gave us great suggestions for places to eat nearby. She welcomed us, and all the staff were friendly. My wife and I came for one night to celebrate our anniversary, and The June Motel exceeded our expectations. The online photos looked great, but it was even better in person. We can’t wait to stay again.

We met Tahira later in the day, and her kindness and positive energy really made this visit unforgettable. She helped us with our complimentary bikes, prepared the lobby fire pit with s’mores, and even offered to take pictures of us. The June Motel was just as delightful on our second stay as it was on our third visit to Prince Edward County. We were so pleasantly surprised by a free upgrade to the beautiful Rosé Suite, which made the trip even more special. We’re already excited to come back next year. The June Motel is a gem, and they’re lucky to have Tahira on the team!

We come to The June every November, and it always feels like an oasis. It manages to be peaceful and secluded while still having a lively little scene. The staff are absolutely wonderful, and the rooms are cozy, clean, and welcoming. We’ll keep coming back, I can’t give it enough stars!

Katie at the morning desk made the stay especially nice. She was warm and had useful suggestions for shopping and places to eat, including a nearby winery we might not have found on our own. The June Motel has a fun, retro look, and parking was easy. I stayed with my 86 year old mom, and we liked the simple breakfast of muffins, yogurt, and coffee. The mattresses were softer than I prefer, though, and the air conditioner was loud and awkwardly high up to adjust. The bathroom fan was noisy too, and we could hear a lot of movement overhead. Still, it was a charming visit, and with a few fixes it could be even better.
