Best Western Plus Pitt Meadows Inn & Suites

The hotel still hasn't refunded us, and apparently that is out of its control too. We booked through Trivago, not the hotel's website, though Expedia also labels it "pet friendly." If the hotel only accepts dogs, the listing should say "dog friendly." Other hotels manage to communicate that clearly. The response makes it sound as if the hotel has no control over its marketing, and maybe it doesn't. As for the original booking, my wife and I chose this place from the many options in the region because it was advertised as pet friendly. Cats aren't allowed, though, and it would've been helpful to know that before we booked and paid. Updating the ad seems like a simple fix. "My apologies" for the bad review. At least you honored your end of the contract for one night :)

Natalie turned a frustrating room situation into a much better experience. My online reservation didn't offer a way to request a room away from the highway, and when I got to my floor, I found mine faced it. The first staff member I asked at the front desk didn't seem willing to help with a change. Natalie was kind and patient. She checked again instead of sending me away, found a room on the quieter side of the building, and arranged the switch without hesitation. Her warmth and professionalism made me feel welcome and valued, and completely changed how I felt about the situation and the hotel.

I had to strip the mattress, sleep in my clothes, and use my dog blanket because I was so disgusted. The room smelled musty, the blankets and drapes were stained, and the pillows smelled like they had never been washed. It was the grossest hotel I've ever stayed in. I had to book an Airbnb, and I wouldn't have stayed there that night if I'd had anywhere else to go. I did voice my displeasure about the room. The only way to make this nightmare right would be to refund my money. I'll call the manager tomorrow and tell them again how horrible my experience with this establishment was.

It was quiet and comfortable enough, but I probably wouldn't stay again. The hotel was nice, just nothing special. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, though they forgot to program our key cards, so I had to go back and have that done. The TV in our room had another customer's name on it, which left me wondering how the billing would turn out.
