I usually book Airbnbs, so staying in a hostel was new for me. My friend and I needed somewhere in a pinch, and this turned out to be a really nice spot. Our private room worked well, there were two kitchens and plenty of shared areas, and everyone kept things quiet and respectful after 10, even with our late arrival. Dawn was lovely and shared plenty of ideas for places to visit and eat. We grabbed coffee before checkout, and the shower was great. A solid place to stay if you're hiking the Cabot trail.

We got a cheap couple of nights here. The 10-bed room was a good size and seemed clean, and there were two kitchens, plenty of full bathrooms, and an outdoor fire pit. Dale and Leena were really friendly, helpful, and fun. Rusty Anchor is an easy walk up the street, with great seafood and a nice patio by the water. The Skyline Trail isn't too far, though there was some road construction.

We stayed in the outbuilding, which I think is mostly used for larger groups. It could've been cleaner, and there weren't enough power outlets. The kitchen and common spaces, though, were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The staff were really nice, and there were board games and a guitar around too. It's a pretty basic hostel, but not bad at all.

The Family Room was spacious and pleasant for the two of us, though it looked like it could sleep five. The kitchen and hangout area had plenty of essentials, and there were lots of friendly travelers to chat with. The owner was super welcoming. We were hoping to do laundry, but there isn't a laundry facility, which we should've checked beforehand.

For a long weekend of hiking, this was a nice, affordable place to sleep in the park. I stayed one night and enjoyed it. Shane, the owner, was super friendly and helped me find a bed for the next day, too. The hostel was clean and the beds were good, keeping in mind it's a hostel, not a hotel.
