The continental breakfast was good, and for what we paid, it felt like good value. We stayed in the old school's grade 2 classroom, set up with two double bunk beds, which worked perfectly for our large family. The custom-made beds were new and had comfortable mattresses. The bathroom was also new, clean, and a good size. We arrived late, so we didn't get to see the games area with the pool tables or try the bar and restaurant. A really distinctive place, renovated from a school.

The meal was great. The owner was a lot of fun and really interesting, and even made me a moose plate that wasn't on the menu. At dinner I sat beside a road crew, but I couldn't make out much of the local lingo, bye! Staying in this quirky old school, so beautifully turned into a neat hotel, felt like a real life experience. Don't miss it.

A great spot for community get-togethers, with Tibb's Eve and New Year's Eve parties as well as darts tournaments. And if you've had a few too many, there's a room where you can sleep it off. Such a fun place!

The staff were some of the best I've had the chance to talk with, and the Newfoundlanders we met were so welcoming. The bar was excellent too. Our room had two huge bunk beds, which added to the charm, and the unusual decor felt warm throughout. Since it used to be a school, the rooms have a character of their own. I pulled up to Genevieve Bay Inn and thought, this looks like a school. It turned into an amazing stay. Take a night to relax and enjoy the inn experience, then visit the Viking Trail and live in the moment. I'll see you again. 5/5.

After an arduous trek through Labrador, we spent one of our best nights in Newfoundland here. It's very close to the Newfoundland-Labrador ferry. The beds were amazing, the rooms were clean, and the owners were wonderful in both their service and friendliness. Everything was perfect.
