Having a shared kitchen was a real help, since there aren’t many places to eat in town. We loved our four nights here: the room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the lawn looks out over a gorgeous stretch of water. The location is perfect. Highly recommend.

The B&B sits right by the sea, with lovely views, and there’s a grocery store within walking distance. Johan & Paula Olsen were great hosts. Our room was clean and had its own bathroom, and the shared lounge had a TV and board games. Breakfast was really good too, with fresh-baked scones and bread or a different dish each morning.

The shared kitchen came in handy, since Port Alice has very few places to eat out. There’s a food truck and a pizza takeaway, while restaurants mean a drive to Port McNeill or Port Hardy. The town also has a small supermarket and a very good coffee shop, Foggy Mountain Coffee. We spent two nights at Frigon B&B in September and loved the water views. We could sit in the Gazebo for hours watching the scenery. Eagles flew past, and with luck you might spot otters playing in the water. We stayed in the Coho room, which was clean, quiet, comfortable, and looked out over the water. It didn’t have an ensuite bathroom as the website described, but our private bathroom was just outside the room. That was no problem for us. We’d rather have the waterfront view than an ensuite. Paula and Johan were friendly, helpful, and lovely to talk with. Paula made a delicious breakfast each morning. On our last day we had to leave very early and would have been happy with a plain sandwich, but Paula insisted on making us a full breakfast with fresh-baked scones. We really appreciated it. Thanks, Paula and Johan, for looking after us so well. You have a fabulous place! Tip: call Regan Hickling/Rumble Beach Fishing Charters for a private sea otter tour. We had a great time and saw so many otters.

The view and the accommodations were spectacular, and I had a really relaxed stay. The host couple were wonderful and very accommodating. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. I’d love to come back whenever I can, even if it’s just to relax. Thank you both.

Beautiful scenery, comfortable accommodations, and warm, helpful hosts all made this stay special. The breakfasts alone were worth the trip. It really doesn’t get better than having all of that together in one stay.
