We had a great weekend away with the girls. The resort keeps its historic charm while feeling tastefully updated, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. There was plenty to do, from pickle ball, tennis, and corn hole to the pool, hot tub, and saunas, all with fantastic views. I’d definitely go again.

It’s so quaint and beautiful in winter, and we loved the outdoor hot tub, saunas, and the view from our room. The main indoor spaces are lovely and full of history. Our room could have had more light, and the bathroom was a bit small, but it was still a great place to stay. We’ll definitely visit again in summer.

We came across Windermere House by chance after driving up from Ontario last Saturday afternoon, and I’m glad we stopped. The service was warm and attentive without hovering, which made for a relaxed, welcoming meal. I ordered the lamb shank, tender and full of flavor, one of the best mains I’ve had in a long time. If you’re passing through Muskoka, it’s worth stopping for a proper sit down meal.

Windermere House made for a great weekend away. The lake view was unbeatable, and the rooms were stunning and clean. Even in the off season there was plenty to enjoy, including saunas, a hot tub, pool, and fire pits. We had fantastic food and drinks at Windermere Pub. The staff made everything seamless from check in through checkout, and went above and beyond. I’d highly recommend it for a getaway.

Taylor at the Windermere Spa gave me a pedicure with a massage and paraffin wax treatment. It was relaxing and fabulous, an absolute treat. Five stars. Ask for Taylor.
