The place looks out over the water, and breakfast in the morning was great. The lady there and I both drink tea, and she introduced me to King Cole tea. I had to buy some for the trip home. It was lovely just sitting, drinking tea, and relaxing. For dinner, make sure to go to the "hitch", though you may need a reservation.

We were there in early July 2025, and the place was immaculate. It's close to the beach and has an excellent view. Breakfast was excellent too, with a good selection. We'd highly recommend it for an overnight stay.

The porch view was to die for, and the rooms were spacious. We spent a few days here at the beginning of July and had an amazing stay. The staff were incredibly hospitable, and breakfast was wonderful.

The service was amazing, and breakfast came fresh and plentiful. This is a wonderful Victorian-style home, comfortable and immaculate, with an incredible view and a beach nearby. If you're planning a Cabot Trail trip, plan a stop here and book in advance. Thank you to the owner for putting so much effort into creating this lovely place!

The house has a lot of charm, with historic furniture in our tidy room and some fine decor in the public spaces. A staff member or owner told me it dates back to around 1910. We spent one night at Hillcrest Hall Country Inn at the beginning of August, and the relaxed town setting appealed to us. There's a big front lawn with a few chairs where guests can watch the sunset. The hot breakfast offered a good selection of standard food and drinks, and the breakfast room was very clean with well-arranged tables. We arrived on a weekday after 6 p.m. and were surprised to find no restaurants open in town. The only option in the area was the Red Shoe restaurant in Mabou, 20 km away, with good food and live Celtic music. I enjoyed the stay and wish we could have spent more time there.
