I can’t comment on the stay or amenities because I cancelled my reservation. Someone named Jean called me, and when I returned the call, she seemed concerned only that I’d booked through Booking.com. She couldn’t really explain what the issue was with third-party travel apps, but told me to cancel with Booking and said she’d offer the same suite by email. I’ve used Booking for practically every trip and have never had this happen. It felt intrusive. She emailed a stay confirmation, and I told her to cancel it. This unprofessional experience should be kept in mind when booking here.

The rooms were spacious and had a really unique layout, and we’re already making plans to return. We had a wonderful visit, with delightful, funny staff at both the front desk and restaurant. The restaurant food was appealing, interesting, delicious, and had options we loved.

The food is a big part of why this local gem has been a Port Stanley staple for years, welcoming locals and visitors from far away. You can sit inside, on the front porch and people-watch, in the whimsical back patio, or in the quaint English pub. Try the pickerel dinner, classic fish and chips, veggie sandwich, or double smashed burger. It’s a lovely spot for a date or a little road trip to see what you’ve been missing.

This family run inn made the whole trip easy, from booking right through checkout. The service and hospitality were awesome, and the small town southwestern Ontario location is great for a getaway. Rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The restaurant is far and away the best in town for quality, service, and value. We highly recommend staying and dining here.
