Knights Inn Prince George

The price was unbeatable, and the staff were kind and accommodating. We were travelling across Canada with dogs, and this place was just what we needed. The beds were super comfy and it was pet friendly. There was a fridge that worked well and a coffee maker. No tub, just a shower, but the water was HOT! We didn’t turn on the TV, though it was a new flat screen. Would recommend. (Jan 2020)

This was the most run down hotel I’ve stayed in. I booked and paid for a kitchenette room days in advance, but it still wasn’t ready hours after check-in. The front door jamb was broken, and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut. I was given just one towel and one hand towel for four days. The Wi-Fi was weak and didn’t work for half my stay. There were fights outside almost every night, someone tried to steal my license plate, and food from the previous guest was still in the fridge. I was terrified to sleep in the bed.

*WARNING* This is not a motel. It is subsidized housing for some of the city’s homeless population and should be removed from booking websites unless it ever becomes a motel again. Someone there is still taking payment for rooms that aren’t available, so people arrive to check in and find they’ve been ripped off. Even long before PGNFC took it over, the place was nearly uninhabitable. The plumbing and heating didn’t work, doors wouldn’t lock, bedding wasn’t changed between guests, and sometimes no cleaning was done at all.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I work on the railway, I’m used to dirt, and I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels over the years, but this place was disgusting. The sink didn’t work, so I couldn’t wash my hands. I was there for a week and never got fresh towels or bedding. Both were old and dirty, there was no garbage can in the room, and trash piled up by the door because nobody came to clean. I left early and they wouldn’t refund me. There were lots of drug dealers and hookers, yelling and crime all around, and screaming through the night from drug addicts and hookers. Filthy place. Please stay anywhere else.
