Qualicum Landing

We had homes #31 and #41 for 3-4 nights, one of them dog friendly, and were very pleased with our stay. The homes were clean, well equipped, and all the appliances worked. The community had manicured lawns and lovely landscaping, and it was very quiet, with most owners retired. It was easy to relax there. We were only steps from the beach and close to Cathedral Grove and Coombs. Michelle answered all my many questions from the start and went above and beyond, even sending photos of the outdoor furniture since it wasn’t shown on the website. She also checked that the TV had a USB port and that every room had an iron and ironing board, details missing from the amenities list. We had amazing summer like weather in October, so I was glad the tennis court nets were still up. The clubhouse was a nice extra. We didn’t get to use the fitness room, but we did play billiards. I’m giving Qualicum Landing 5/5 and hope to return.

The grapefruit were great, but the blueberries were starting to dry out and tasted pretty bland compared with berries from Costco after sitting in their plastic containers for two days. The place is fun, with an interesting selection of things to shop for, like unusual cheeses, crackers, jams, Mexican(?) soft drinks, and meats.

The decor, wine, facilities, and location were all spot on. My sweet escape is the best airbnb type vacation housing I’ve ever stayed in. I highly recommend it!

A spectacular, very clean place, with the beach nearby. Great for relaxing with family or friends and having a low key getaway.
