B&B de la Fontaine

The location made getting around so easy. It’s on a calm little street, close to everything, and the outside is really cute. Inside, there’s lots of character too. We stayed a few days in Room 1, which had good air conditioning. The photos were accurate, so there were no surprises. Victoria was a delight, welcoming us warmly, answering our questions, and making us feel at home. Breakfast each morning was just right: coffee, fruit, toast with jam, and a different little extra each day. My husband loved the fried eggs, while I loved the oatmeal with yogurt. We loved our stay.

The B&B is in a beautiful spot, and our host was incredibly welcoming. We also loved the lemon loaf she made as part of breakfast. The place was quite clean, though we found it tricky to use the small bathroom in our room. Highly recommend!

Victoria was an amazing hostess, super friendly and so helpful. The breakfast during our visit was superb, and we left full enough to skip lunch. Thank you, Victoria, for your hospitality. If we come back this way, we’ll stay with you again. My wife and I spent four nights here. It was my first visit, but not my wife’s. Our room and bathroom were very clean. The bathroom was awkward to maneuver in, but I’m a large guy, 6 foot 2 inches and 280 pounds, and I managed fine. The AC worked great, and we both slept very well.

Getting your deposit back took longer than expected. Booking.com charged me a $33USD deposit when I reserved, but that charge wasn’t disclosed during booking. A week before the stay, the full price was charged too. I was told the deposit would be refunded at checkout, then told after asking seven days later that it took 7-10 days. It’s now been 17 days since checkout, and I still haven’t received it. I paid $157USD/night in late May 2025. Room #5, “Sol,” upstairs was the main reason I liked the stay: it had a nice covered balcony, and without that I’d have been less happy. The bathroom was small but workable. Tourist sights are a short walk away, though there isn’t much commercial activity nearby and shops and restaurants take a bit of a walk to reach. Breakfast was sparse: a tiny omelet one morning, hard boiled eggs the next, along with self-serve toast, yogurt, coffee, and similar items. The stairs would be impossible for someone with even minor mobility issues. If you can get room #5 and don’t need a hearty breakfast, you might have a good stay. Outside of that room, I’d look elsewhere.
