Hotel Du Vieux Quebec

The rooms are roomy, the beds are clean and comfortable, and the staff were pleasant. The location is lovely, too. But the lack of soundproofing was a dealbreaker for us. We could hear guests in the next room and the cleaning crew in the hall, along with every creak from upstairs. Luckily the hotel wasn't full, so it was bearable. The gym is very dated and barely has space for two people. For a renovated hotel, that seemed like an easy thing to fix. We wouldn't stay again.

Rose at reception made our day out so much better. She was lovely, gave us great suggestions, and drew a wonderful map. The hotel is clean, the rooms are beautiful, breakfast is tasty, and the location is great. Just know that it's an older building, even though it's been fully renovated. The walls are thin enough to hear the person next door snoring, and there can be a lot of stomping. Light sleepers should keep that in mind. I'd definitely recommend it.

We've stayed here three times and will be back for number four in a few weeks. This is our go-to in Quebec City. The staff at the desk are warm, welcoming, and full of local tips, especially Pierrerob (sorry if I've got the spelling wrong). We love the clean, comfortable room, with its coffee machine and mini fridge. Petit Champlain and Frontenac are just a few minutes away on foot. They can also bring a breakfast basket to your door with juice, cheese, yogurt, a pastry, and a croissant. Such a nice option.

Sarah was a huge help with check-in and all our questions, and she was quick to reply by email too. She made our time in Quebec City easy. We also really appreciated the clean, spacious room and the lounge and other facilities. We had an excellent stay, thank you!
