Grand Times Hotel

I was in Quebec City for work and needed a place near our venue. My room was cozy, comfortable, and clean, and the staff made a good impression with a quick, friendly check-in. I was glad I picked this hotel and would happily return. I recommend it.

After a concert at the nearby Videotron Centre, my husband and I stayed here for the night. It was quiet, parking was plentiful, and we were pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. The bed felt comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. We'd stay again without hesitation.

I won't be coming back. The room gave me that unsettling feeling of looking clean while somehow seeming dirty, and its black and dark red paint with very dim lights made the space gloomy. The chair cushion was badly torn, the desk chair seat had obvious stains, and the tissue holder was coming loose from the wall. Worst of all, the refrigerator wouldn't shut properly. I had to wedge a towel into the cabinet door to hold it against the fridge. UGH! See the pictures.

I was just passing through and booked one night through a travel site for about $200. At check-in, I was greeted with, “Why are you here?” They also told me breakfast wasn't included and that the buffet would cost another $9. The room was dusty, as if nobody had been in it for a while. I could hear everything in the hallway through the ceiling, and the detergent smell made it hard to tell if the sheets were clean. The next morning I mentioned the room's cleanliness, and they waived the buffet charge. I thought I'd come out ahead, until I saw the buffet: bags of bread and cold, hard-boiled eggs. In 2025, it's sad they charge for that kind of spread.
