The location and competitive price may be appealing, but they don’t make up for the lack of respectful customer service. We asked whether checking in a little later, around 7 PM, would be possible. The owner’s reply struck us as rude and unprofessional, and then our reservation was cancelled right away, leaving us shocked and without a place to stay. We’ve never been treated this way on a trip before, and found it completely unacceptable. It was especially disappointing given the hotel’s 3-star rating and 4.9 review score.

The breakfast was incredible, with quality ingredients, and I’ve never had a better one. The place was spotless, beautiful and comfortable, and the hosts were the best. I’ve stayed in plenty of Airbnb and hotels, but this is my favorite so far. As a woman travelling alone, I felt completely safe. They treat you like King and Queen, and it really felt like a home away from home. I’d recommend it without hesitation, and honestly, I’d come to Quebec City just for the experience of staying here. It’s worth every penny. I can’t wait to come back.

My dad and I stayed here in July 2018, and whenever we plan a vacation he still brings the place up. The hosts were kind and helped us with parking. They offered us a beer, which we enjoyed out on the balcony. Breakfast was tasty, really well prepared, and a great way to start the day. Anyone giving this place less than 5 stars is a mean person. Period.

The next morning’s breakfast was extraordinary and delicious, and I’d happily stay again. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. When we arrived, our room wasn’t quite ready, so he offered us drinks and chatted with us. He also recommended places to eat in case we hadn’t made plans yet.
