Midway Motel

We were worn out, and this mom-and-pop kind of place was a welcome stop at just the right time. The desk staff were funny and friendly, and the rooms were really clean. I prefer a softer bed, but the mattress was in great shape and supportive. It brought back memories of my Serta posturepedic from when I was younger. The mismatched furniture is charming, too. If you don't need anything bourgeois, it's a great place.

The rooms are comfortable and quiet, with plenty of space for a wheelchair or walker. It's a good option for people with limited mobility, though some rooms don't have accessible showers.

We were there for a hockey tournament weekend, and the hospitality and breakfast room gave the teams and parents a nice place to gather between activities. You can cook a meal there or warm up something prepared. The rooms were clean and the price was great, though it's nothing fancy. A good choice for an overnight or weekend stay if you're considering driving back to Saskatoon to avoid an overpriced hotel.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this five stars felt deserved. I wasn't expecting much when I checked in and was surprised by how immaculate the room was, especially the bathroom. The floors were spotless, the carpets had no stains, and everything was neatly folded. The owner was kind and worked with my late check-in and large truck-and-trailer setup in the lot. He even lent me a cord for my block heater. The TV was modern and had all the streaming services.
