Lido Motel

This little motel is set up more like a cozy, comfortable apartment than a standard motel room. I was impressed by all the thoughtful touches, and the service was great. Val was friendly and accommodating. It’s a great spot!

We had a quiet stay in a very clean king suite. It was nicely appointed with a fridge, kitchenette and all the amenities, and the bathroom was clean with soft towels. Such a cute little place. I’d highly recommend it and stay again. Call directly to book for a discount.

We travelled with two dogs, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. We’ll definitely be back. The room had a separate bedroom with a door, a full kitchen, and a table and chairs. They left a welcome snack pack with Biscoff cookies and other treats, plus dish soap, a box of kleenex and lots of thoughtful little conveniences. Those small details were better than what I’ve found at some 3 or 4 star chain hotels. The property has several places to sit outside, including clean chairs just outside each room. The front areas have cushioned lawn furniture, a fire pit, wood and a fire starter, as well as bug spray for guests. There’s a gas grill with cooking utensils too. In the back, there are games like corn hole and tables and chairs, with netting over some of them to keep bugs away. We were surprised by how few bugs we saw in BC, since we’d been swarmed by wasps and mosquitoes in Calgary around the same time. We stayed for one night in September 2025 and were impressed. It’s a 2 star hotel, but had absolutely everything we might need. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the attention to detail and anticipation of useful conveniences stood out more than at any other hotel.

The purple and pink king suite was a fun choice, and the kitchenette was well equipped. There was plenty of space for us and our old Labrador, our road trip buddy. It’s in a quiet spot, but we could still walk to restaurants. Great price, too.
