Mountain Springs Motel

We arrived late after a long day on the road, and they’d left a note just for me so I could pick up the key and go straight into a clean, comfortable room. It was so convenient. The bed was super comfy, with great bedding, not cheap, see-through bargain “blankets.” The room exceeded my expectations, and the price for the night was great. I’d booked online as a pet-friendly stop on the way to Alaska and wish I’d stayed a second night. The location is great, and you can tell they’re taking care of the place. They’ve made thoughtful efforts for pets, including a fresh, clean, clear water tank with steps for my little guy to enjoy. There’s also a dog park just up the street.

There’s plenty of outdoor space to hang out, with BBQs, campfires, mosquito tents, patios, picnic tables, lounge chairs, and more. Shops, restaurants, and bars are an easy walk away. We booked a two-bedroom room with a kitchen for four adults and couldn’t have been happier. Everything was SO clean, which is rare for me, and the AC kept us all cool. The beds and couch were actually comfortable. We met the owner, who was very kind and checked that we were happy with the room, which we were. I definitely recommend this motel.

The owners are clearly putting effort into the place, and the rooms are very clean. Great value and better than I expected. Nice work, guys, I’d recommend it. One thing for the owner: the bathroom door in room 5 doesn’t close, which could bother some people since it’s in front of the window.

A stressful morning turned into a great day after our car broke down just metres from this motel. The owners greeted us warmly, and we ended up having a lovely BBQ while chatting with them. We had no utensils or even plates, but they went out of their way to bring us what we needed, plus pastries and ice cream at no charge. Such a friendly atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend the place more.
