Wildberry Country Lodge B&B

The owner makes a wonderful homemade breakfast for free, and the location is ideal for exploring anse aux medows. The rooms were very clean, and the shared spaces felt welcoming and had plenty of equipment. There's a cosy living room with a TV and a large kitchen, and the Wifi works perfectly. Great stay!

The fireplace really adds to the cosy feel, and the rooms are spacious. This place is rustic, so it's best to leave fancy expectations at home. It's not a 4 star Hotel spa, but it was incredibly comfortable. I wouldn't listen to people calling it sketchy or the owner creepy. Lynn is a little shy and awkward, but he's kind, helpful and very accommodating. He'd make us eggs and bacon, sausages or beef patties, depending on the day, at any time in the morning. Bread, jam, fruit, cereal, tea and coffee were available for self-serve all day. He even brought us some money back after we overpaid.

The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and we could use the kitchen whenever we wanted to cook. It was easy to relax here, and the location made visiting l’Anse aux Meadows convenient. A pleasant stay, and we'll definitely return.

The welcome was a bit odd. He wanted $120 for one or $140 for two in cash, regardless of what the reservation price said. The messages before the stay were confusing and misleading too. There was no TV in the rooms, though guests could use one in the common room. The owner turned out to be nice, and breakfast was great.
