We only wanted a room for the night, but the blonde woman at the front desk was hostile and unprofessional from the start. We were polite and willing to follow any requirements, yet she stayed rude, dismissive, and difficult. A routine check-in became uncomfortable, and after trying to handle it respectfully, we decided to leave. At the Meridian Inn & Suites Regina Airport, the difference was remarkable. We were greeted by a pleasant, welcoming, accommodating staff member. The staff there were courteous and helpful, and clearly focused on making guests comfortable. It was one of the most positive hotel check-ins we’ve ever had, and based on our experience we’d strongly recommend Meridian Inn & Suites Regina Airport as one of the best places to stay in Regina. We’ll share the same message on Yelp and other social media so people have the chance to stay away from this place.

The on-site restaurant was really convenient, and our food was very good. Our evening waitress was busy but still friendly and attentive, and especially kind to our grandchildren. We’d visit the restaurant on its own in future. The pool and waterslide were a big hit with the kids, and the hotel was very kid-friendly overall. The area is certainly sketchy, but we spent most of our time in the locked pool. The hotel is a bit dated, though renovations are visibly underway. We’re looking forward to another visit and hope to see more progress.

The room was reasonably priced, and the bed was clean and comfortable with fluffy pillows. Staff were friendly and accommodating, including booking us seniors on the main floor. It was a short stay, so we didn’t get to use the hot tub. We’d reserve again.

The front desk and restaurant teams were excellent. The front desk handled my special request with care, and the restaurant served good, fairly priced food despite being partly under renovation. Our server was attentive, kind, and went above and beyond. The pool is old but functional, and the waterslide was a hit with the kids. Still, taking the family down a dim, run-down hallway to get there felt awkward. The second-floor room was decent but clearly hadn’t been renovated. It smelled musty when we entered, had a large stain on the corner chair, and the AC was loud. The beds were fine and the linens looked clean and fairly new. The property is in year 1 of a 6-year full renovation, according to staff, and only part of the first floor is done. Some areas look fresh and modern, while others are extremely worn, almost like a horror movie. I booked mostly based on photos, which were misleading, and hadn’t read reviews beforehand. Lesson learned. At $150-$200 a night, the value isn’t there yet, especially when renovated first-floor rooms are similarly priced. I’d gladly come back after the work is complete. The staff and management clearly care and the place has real potential, but right now it’s overpriced for its condition.

Our car was broken into overnight, and we filed a police report. When I told the front desk, it seemed like this happened there often. Both front desk people we dealt with had awful attitudes and didn’t try to help. We’d booked expecting a nice hotel from the photos, but it was old, dated, and not well cleaned. The floor looked unvacuumed and there were coffee drips on the desks. When we asked about a room upgrade, they said their hands were tied and didn’t make any effort. I’d warn anyone considering this place to go anywhere else.
