Super 8 by Wyndham Regina

Good location and a nice place, but our Thursday night stay on a late road-trip stop from Calgary toward Ontario was cut short. At 3 a.m. someone woke us by vacuuming the hallway and banging the vacuum against our door, so we checked out at 4, already awake. The front desk told me to call Monday for a manager. When I finally spoke with him, he said there were no notes about anyone vacuuming at 3 a.m., which made it sound like I was lying. I told him I’d recorded the conversation with the worker, and then he apologized and offered a $20 refund. Thanks so much for that, Super 8 in Regina!

The breakfast was simple, hot, and good for the price, and there was plenty of parking. Rooms were modern, quiet, and very clean, with really comfortable beds and pillows. Service was excellent across the board, from the front desk and food team to the cleaners. The hotel really shines on service. I’ll stay again.

I was in from Calgary for a funeral and only needed somewhere to sleep after the long drive. We needed a room from 8 a.m. until noon, but they put us beside housekeeping, where the loud preparations made sleep impossible. I checked out 45 minutes after arriving. They refused to refund the third-party booking agency, so I had to dispute the charge with my credit card. Visa refunded me and closed the dispute in my favor right away. I spoke with MJ, the “manager,” who thought charging $160 was acceptable because they had to clean sheets we’d tried to sleep in for 45 minutes. Visa didn’t agree. Beware!

The rooms were quite nice, and the staff were great. They helped me sort out a booking made for the wrong date. Breakfast was pretty good for a build-your-own setup.
