Comfort Inn Regina East

We stayed Jan 23-26, and my friend and I felt very comfortable thanks to the staff. They were so friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. The room was clean and well cared for, with all the bathroom amenities provided. The free coffee and tea came in handy and were much appreciated. It was an easy, pleasant stay. Highly recommend!

I liked the room amenities, especially the bathroom night light, which meant I didn’t have to switch on a glaring light in the middle of the night. But cleanliness really brought down my rating. The tub had soap residue, a ring around it, and water marks on the faucet. I asked for housekeeping, and the desk said they’d check if anyone was still around. Soon after, they called and moved me across the hall, but the second room had the same problem. I caught the front desk agent in the hall and showed her how rubbing the tub exposed a shiny surface beneath the scum. She agreed it wasn’t acceptable. A housekeeper came with spray and a cloth, then asked me to check the work. She had only sprayed and lightly wiped it. I showed her she needed to scrub with pressure, and ended up cleaning the tub myself. I appreciated how quickly staff responded, but it was troubling to find poor cleaning in two rooms. I wondered how many other rooms had the same issue without anyone noticing or complaining. Cleanliness matters a lot to me, so that affected my score.

The room was clean, though it had an old, musty smell. The front desk guy was kind when I called about arriving early for a 3 p.m. check-in before a wedding. He said I could come any time after noon. It’s one of the cheaper hotels in Regina and includes breakfast.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the shower had great pressure. I also liked the shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast was free and included scrambled eggs, waffles, sausages, cereal, instant oatmeal, toast, muffins, juice, coffee, and tea. It was fine for a basic breakfast, but there weren’t options for dietary restrictions. The front desk staff were friendly, though I only spoke with them at check-in and check-out. I stayed one night, August 30-31, 2025, on the way back to Manitoba after a road trip in Alberta. The room had a queen bed, couch, desk and chair, large TV, microwave, mini fridge, and bathroom. The hotel looks much more dated in person than it does in the online photos. There’s no elevator, just stairs to the second floor, so access is limited. The TV had cable but no option to cast or stream from my phone, and the channel guide took ages to scroll through. We pulled the couch out to eat takeout at the desk and found lots of bits of garbage underneath. It clearly hadn’t been vacuumed there in a long time. It was adequate for one night, but felt expensive for such a basic place.
