Royal Hotel Regina, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The Filipino staff were nice and friendly, and breakfast had lots of options, but the breakfast room needed cleaning. The tables and chairs needed wiping down. I regret booking here. The cleanliness was a problem from the entrance onward. The door was dirty, the lobby smelled moldy and dusty, and the elevator and its buttons were covered in visible prints. Our room carpet looked gross, so I was glad we brought slippers. The room was outdated, the AC noisy, and the furniture old and dusty. There was rust on the bathroom shelf, and the soft bed gave me lower back pain. Sorry.

We arrived late and tired on the weekend of Jan. 24, 2026, and walked into a sauna. The thermostat read 25.5 degrees, and seemed useless. Turning it off or switching it to cool made no difference, the heat kept blasting. The front desk couldn’t help, but offered a move to another room. The next day nobody tried to fix it or even speak with us. Covering the heat vents helped somewhat, but the room stayed uncomfortably hot. It was dated too, with an older TV, no microwave, and poor WIFI. Breakfast was decent.

The room was generally clean and the staff were good, but the hotel is outdated and poorly soundproofed. We could hear people talking all night and slept badly. The food was average. You get what you pay for, I guess, but I wouldn’t stay again.

The room had quite a few spots that seemed to have been missed during cleaning. What really marred my stay, though, was seeing a manager in the foyer barking orders at staff without saying please or thank you. It was hard to watch that lack of respect and professionalism. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly, and parking was easy with plenty of spaces.
