I enjoyed the stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. It was quiet, and the air conditioning worked well, which is a must for me. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the casino was within walking distance. Breakfast was free and had coffee, tea, juice, toast, eggs, mini waffles you make yourself, and several kinds of cereal. There’s also a tiny treat shop instead of a vending machine. They ordered me a taxi when I needed one.

Kiran at the front desk went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I arrived with no room booked and my dog in the car, after driving roads that were garbage. She handled the booking with absolutely ZERO issues. She was professional, understanding, and warm, and I’m thankful to her. The room was a spacious standard king room, clean, quiet, and with comfy beds. The location is handy for downtown Regina, though it’s the downtown of a major Canadian city, so you know what to expect. It was easy to find, with great parking for hotel guests. There’s underground parking too, for an extra $10 a night. 10/10 experience. Thanks again, Kiran!

The accessible king room with a roll-in shower was the most spacious and comfortable room I’ve ever stayed in. There’s plenty of room to maneuver whether you use a manual or motorized wheelchair, a scooter, or a rollator. The bathroom was roomy and always well stocked. One thing it needs is an automatic door. If the bathroom door wasn’t closed securely, it would swing open and block the door to the corridor. Staff and management were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself was quiet, though outside noise from First responders was sometimes bothersome. It’s conveniently located at Broad Street and Saskatchewan Dr., with several bus route stops nearby. The bright, spacious lobby has a few seating options, plus complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and individually packed cookies. The tuck shop has snacks, frozen treats, travel-size toiletries, and the best selection of potato chips I’ve seen in a hotel. You can pay with cash, debit, or credit, or charge purchases to your room.

The General Manager was dismissive and flippant about unauthorized charges, as if they were no big deal. He kept saying not to worry and that it would be fixed, but it still hasn’t been, and he no longer responds to my emails. I’m still fighting to get my money back. Hotels are trusted with guests’ financial information, and this one failed at a basic level of trust and professionalism. I was woken close to 2:00 a.m. by a credit card alert showing three charges from the hotel. I called the front desk right away and was told it “wasn’t true” and that I needed to show my credit card statement. I refused to hand over my financial records, but offered to show the charges through my bank alerts in real time. They were clearly posted. I couldn’t sleep because I was worried my card was being charged without authorization. The room had been prepaid through a third-party booking site. At check-in, I was told there’d be a $110 incidental hold and that outdoor parking was free. We didn’t use the underground parking, which cost $10. The next morning the General Manager himself said the incidental amount should have been only $100, confirming the $110 was wrong. But my card had two separate $110 charges and one charge for $94.80. No one has explained the $94.80 charge or refunded it, nearly a week later. We kept disputing the charges until almost 10:00 a.m., getting nowhere. We were assured they were just holds that would disappear, but they were real charges. We had a 9-hour drive ahead and planned to leave between 7-8 a.m., but instead we had to stay while they tried to sort it out. With the issue unresolved and no money returned, we eventually left exhausted and shaken. The long drive was extremely difficult and felt unsafe because of the stress and lack of sleep. I’ll never stay here again, and I strongly warn others not to either.
