I thought The Steveston was worth the price, and its location relative to Vancouver was a plus. Staff at the front desk were nice, parking on site was one less thing to worry about, and the stay was pleasant overall. I'd come back knowing what I know, though anyone expecting luxury should be aware that's not what this is. For what you pay, I'd call it a four-star experience. The problems came when I settled in. My room had a jacuzzi, but brown specks appeared in the water as it filled, probably from the pipes, so I didn't get in. The windows aren't soundproof, and since the room was directly above the bar, conversations outside carried in.

Still has that good old Steveston charm, and it's a lovely place for breakfast or lunch. The old mugs fit right in. The waitress has been there forever and is a real gem.

I live in Steveston and went there for breakfast this morning. There'd apparently been a fire on the roof, and they had no heat. I was freezing, so I'm not going back to eat there.

A simple little old historic hotel with no frills, but in a great location. The staff were funny and friendly, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the AC worked well. We loved the place and will stay again.

Brunch with two others was decent overall, and the service was great. Our waitress had a lot of personality and handled a problem with one meal's side dish really well. The food was the downside: we all ordered different things, but every plate was greasy in its own way and not enjoyable. Still, I can see this being a good breakfast or brunch spot for curing a hangover!
