The composting toilet worked great once I followed the directions, and there was no smell. I’m a believer now. The tiny houses are thoughtfully equipped and built with the environment in mind, the views are everywhere, and the staff were kind and flexible. I’d happily return. I’d give it 4.5 stars. The website could spell out what’s in each house more clearly to help people pack. We didn’t realize there was only one outlet, and that it runs on a 60-minute timer. My husband uses a CPAP, and the owner kindly arranged a dedicated connection for him. But we only found out about the timer after the office had closed at 5pm, so we had to wait until the next day for the cable. It was also hard to reach the managers after hours. We left a message and didn’t hear back until they reopened. Both issues seem easy to fix.

We left a voicemail asking about availability, as instructed, and waited a week for a return call. If you’re closed for the season or away that long, please update the voicemail so people know. Don’t leave potential customers waiting without an answer.

The cabins are comfortable and nice, and I loved the peaceful setting by the St-Lawrence river. I’d recommend it and will definitely come back.
