Mel and Kate made us feel right at home, and their dinner suggestion was a great one. Breakfast was delicious, especially the banana pancakes, and I’ve never seen so many blue jays! Our room was clean and cozy, with snacks available. Check-in was easy, and we could even charge our electric car at an outlet. Maplegrove Inn is about a 15-minute drive from Hopewell rocks, and it was one of the best stays of our vacation.

The homemade breakfast had plenty of choices, all delicious and locally sourced. Mel and Kate also helped with ideas for day trips and told us about the birds in their lovely garden. We were welcomed with tea and homemade banana bread when we arrived, and the hosts were so warm and helpful throughout. I slept wonderfully in the lovely room during our family drive through New Brunswick from Nova Scotia. I’d definitely recommend stopping here.

We watched blue jays, turtle doves, cardinals, and a few cheeky squirrels at the feeding station from the sunny breakfast room. The breakfast was scrumptious, and Mel and Kate greeted us with tea and chocolate banana bread. The 1854 house has been beautifully restored and updated with all the modern comforts. A beautiful property, highly recommended.

Breakfast is freshly cooked, and sitting there watching the birds at the feeders is such a delight. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and Mel and Kate are genuinely lovely hosts. It’s a great base for exploring Hopewell Rocks and Fundy park.

We got lots of suggestions from Mel and Kate for restaurants and sightseeing, both nearby and on the way toward Moncton and the Confederation Bridge. The breakfasts were amazing and really filling, and we loved watching the birds at the feeders through the dining room windows while we ate. Their home is lovely and comfortable, and the area is so quiet that we had a peaceful sleep and relaxing time at the Inn. They also had little extras like granola bars and popcorn available. Mel and Kate were wonderful hosts. Thanks for a great stay.
