Best Western Plus Parry Sound

I called about canceling two rooms and was told the cancellation policy. I specifically asked them to wait while I worked out other plans. When I called back to ask about rebooking for another date, I learned the manager had already told staff to cancel my rooms and charge two cancellation fees to my card, without my consent. This was a work booking through a large organization, so clear communication mattered. I spent days waiting for a return call and made numerous follow-up calls before finally reaching a manager several days later. She kept repeating, “it’s policy,” while I explained again and again that I had never asked for the rooms to be canceled. I was fortunate I didn't show up that day, since my reservation had been canceled without notice. The manager said she'd call back in two days. It's now been two weeks with no call. They haven't answered my calls, and the charges are on my card with no receipt explaining them. This showed a complete lack of communication, accountability, and respect for customers. I won't book here again, and I'd strongly caution others, especially organizations, to confirm everything in writing before trusting this staff and hotel.

The staff made a real difference, friendly and attentive, and clearly committed to making the stay comfortable. The gymnasium was clean, well equipped, and handy for keeping up my fitness routine while travelling. I also enjoyed the indoor pool, which was spotless and inviting after a busy day. Breakfast was complimentary and had a wide variety of fresh, delicious choices. My stay at the Best Western in Parry Sound was outstanding from start to finish. I highly recommend the Best Western Parry Sound and will definitely return.

Parita at the front desk made our stay easy and stress-free. She was friendly and polite, helped us with everything we needed, and explained things clearly. Her kindness and positive attitude stood out, and she made us feel welcome right away. Because of her, we had a great experience at Best Western.

The hotel's decor was really nice, and the rooms had proper curtains and very good temperature controls. We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express locations, but found this Best Western Plus just as good, if not better in some ways. It's right off the highway, with gas stations, eateries, and even a Walmart nearby, and only a few ramps from roads leading to Muskoka from the 400. We were there for two days and had one small issue: there was no room cleaning service. You may need to call the front desk to request it or clarify from the start. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to this beautiful part of the province.
