The bed and pillows were really comfortable, and I liked parking right outside my room. It’s a basic little motel, but the room and bathroom were clean, with hot water, and the TV had lots of options. The towels were very white but thin, so sturdier bath linens would be nice. I felt safe staying by myself, though the door lock could be better. I’m booking again. I travel often between The Soo and the GTA, and an overnight stop in Parry Sound works well for me.

A clean, comfortable place to sleep at an affordable price, with friendly, helpful staff. It’s not a Holiday Inn, and there’s no breakfast, though they do have an espresso machine. The rooms have outside entrances, and the property is maintained. Good value for the price.

The room was clean, but a big gap under the door let in icy air, and I had to stuff clothes there to block it. We also learned the hard way that running the heater with the microwave or blow dryer tripped the breaker. It might be okay in spring or summer, but I won't stay here again on a winter night.

I was tired from driving and was glad the Sunset Inn had a room. It was clean, as expected, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly at check-in and breakfast. My only complaint: no pug snores or cuddles at night. If you're used to being crowded in bed and serenaded, bring your own pugs!

The mattress was clearly new, but much too hard for our taste. Otherwise, the room was spotless and had a small fridge and microwave, and check-in was smooth and professional. It’s a nice, clean place near old Downtown. We skipped the continental breakfast, though the cereal, pastries, and coffee looked adequate. We’d recommend it.
