Bayside Inn

The owner was really accommodating, and breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order. The inn has lots of character and sits close to the tour boats and restaurants. A very good stay all around, and I'd happily come back.

We slept really well in a comfortable bed with just the right softness. Our room faced the train tracks, so we could hear the trains, but it didn't bother us. The room was clean and had enough space to move around, and breakfast was great too. Even arriving after 11 pm, we were checked in quickly. We'd let the inn know roughly when we'd arrive when booking, which probably helped. The place felt warm and welcoming.

There are great trails nearby, and the docks are close too. Our host was friendly, the room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. We were glad to find this gem in the middle of town, with its interesting history, pictures, and furnishings.

Room 104 had a screened porch with two chairs, though a little table out there would have been nice. Inside, the comfortable king bed, strong AC, full bathroom with a large tub and shower, small fridge, flat screen TV, desk and chair, and large armoire made for a pleasant two night stay. There were plenty of outlets, but a small bedside table on the left side of the bed would help. The fireplace was there, though we weren't sure whether it worked since we stayed in July. Free wifi was quite good. Complimentary parking was useful, and the location is excellent for downtown, Island Queen Dock, Henry's Parry Sound restaurant, Big Sound Marina, and the Performing Arts Center. Jeff was personable and helpful with directions and dining options. Breakfast from 7:30 to 9 am included coffee or tea, fruit, yogurts, oatmeal, toast with homemade jams, eggs, and a choice of juices. We'll return when we're in Parry Sound and would recommend it to anyone after a comfortable, homey place.
