The owner was friendly and gave me a look around, and the locals at the bar were curious and chatty. I arrived around 5:30 pm in September, during low season, and got the last available room for about $100 before taxes. The owner closes the bar around 6 pm and leaves for the night. The room had drinkable water, a coffee machine, toaster, mini oven, queen bed, extra sheets and a TV. The bathroom had towels, soap and a hot shower. The owner may let you use the laundry room if you ask. The machines are free, though laundry soap may or may not be available.

The rooms were very nice and the staff were friendly. We booked at the last minute, with most nearby places closed for the season, and they were very accommodating. The only issue was a smoke smell when we first entered the room. Once it went away, everything was great.
