A relaxing spot, with a fireplace and spa to enjoy.

The management was a huge letdown, especially when I later tried to explain how unhappy we were. The woman showed no flexibility or understanding. Before that, we’d found dishes in the cupboards still marked with food stains, and got ridiculous answers when we asked about them. Then, during dinner, a breaker shut off half the cottage, bathroom included. It stayed that way until we left at 11:00 AM the next day. We tried every way we could to reach the woman on Saturday night, but got no response or call back. The next morning, just before we departed, she sent a text that basically said, “Ha! Ha! Oops.”

The city of Lac-Mégantic has long prohibited short-term rentals on Baie-des-Sables Street. You should seriously consider stopping.

A peaceful, really lovely place with nearly everything you need. There’s just no access to a washer or dryer.

We found this beautiful chalet on Airbnb. The host was great, and it was such a pleasant, quiet place. I’m already looking forward to going back!
