Days Inn by Wyndham Riviere-Du-Loup

The location is great, and I guess they really are pet-friendly: I even found a dog hair on the table. But the shower drain was blocked, leaving water around my feet, and the body wash dispenser had come off the wall. Really disappointing.

Even with just one night at the cottage, we got a good rest, which helped a lot before the long drive ahead. We really enjoyed staying there and would love to return for a longer visit.

We barely slept, only managing a few hours between about 1 and 5 in the morning. We were put in room 223, at the top of steep stairs. Every guest had to take those stairs and pass our door, and the outside door at the bottom closed automatically with a slam. The hotel was hardly full on a Monday night, yet we paid the same as for rooms overlooking the water and got a view of the parking lot and heating system. That was inexcusable. Terrible stay. We won't be back or recommend it.

The rooms are clean, well kept, and the staff are friendly and helpful. No microwave in the room, and the shower pressure is just so-so, but otherwise it's a good place to stay. Great service. I'd recommend it.
