I’ve always enjoyed bed and breakfasts, and staying at Gite la Brise du Lac didn’t change my mind. It’s a character home close to downtown and the waterfront. Martin and Monique were fabulous hosts. Monique’s blueberry pancakes were lovely, and she also has a little shop in the house selling chocolates she makes. A good B&B beats a hotel for me. 😊

The owners were friendly, the neighborhood and location were good, and breakfast was amazing. It got very, very hot without AC.

June 2019. We came as two couples and got such a warm, attentive welcome. Monique is an exceptional, lovely person and manager. She made excellent, generous breakfasts, especially the French toast. What a talented pastry chef! We had a good laugh over our Marseillo-Québécois expressions. Hope to see you again soon, and all the best!

The room was pleasant, a bit small but very comfortable, and there’s a refrigerator on the landing if you need one. The guesthouse is close to the lake, which is ideal for a visit to the marina. Martin welcomed us warmly, and Monique made us a delicious breakfast.
