Hotel Le Rivage

We waited 40 minutes for the spa shuttle, but it never came, so we went on our own. There wasn’t even a smile or apology afterward. Reception was unhelpful and unprofessional, gave us incorrect information, and even provided the wrong phone number for reception. I’d paid extra for a room with a fireplace, but the one in room 134 was broken. I called reception three times and was told someone would come, but nobody did. They didn’t move us or refund the additional charge. The room was outdated and poorly maintained, the bed made noise, and the broken bathroom faucet splashed water everywhere. The stay was uncomfortable, and I regret choosing this hotel.

The room was wonderful, with a tub in the bedroom, adjustable lighting, and a fireplace. The hotel was easy to find your way around, and the front desk staff were really nice. I booked it the same day for an impromptu trip, and it was a great place for a few nights!

Parking was my main concern. There aren’t many spaces, and I was directed to a lot at the back that’s shared with several buildings, which wasn’t ideal. The staff were helpful and the room was clean, and getting into my room was no problem. Still, carrying luggage up two flights of stairs wasn’t great.

The front desk staff were kind and respectful, but the room walls seemed paper thin, and parking leaves a lot to be desired. There’s no elevator for second-floor rooms. I was told the kitchen comes to the second-floor ice machine around 5:30 in the morning to collect large amounts of ice for breakfast. I won’t be back.
