Park West Inn

It looks like a pretty nice hotel, and the room was modern, but there’s no microwave. I like to save on meals, so that’s a problem for me. What’s the point of having a table and chair without one? There is a restaurant, but I’m not eating there out of spite.

No elevator, so keep that in mind if you need one. Otherwise, it was a great little no frills place to rest after our late flight into Winnipeg. The beds were soft and comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the front desk staff were super friendly. It was affordable, clean, and quiet. There’s free parking right in front, and a 7”11 just across the street for water if you arrive late. The attached restaurant had great service and was open for a late snack, I think until 11pm. It also had one armed bandits 🎰 that we didn’t put money into, but it was funny to see. We’d recommend it for a good rest before moving on.

I paid $85 for a room with two queen beds. It’s affordable and a good choice for a short stay. I’d recommend it.

We were so impressed with Ida that we booked another night. The hotel itself is basic, but clean, with wonderful staff and a nice neighborhood, and it’s a great budget friendly option. We’d unexpectedly lost our reservation at another hotel after flying in from Edmonton with my dad’s ashes, and the customer service elsewhere was terrible. Ida at Park West Inn went above and beyond to help us. Her genuine care meant a lot during an already stressful time. Please give this wonderful young lady a raise so you don’t lose her. A grateful Traveller.
