Sandman Hotel & Suites Winnipeg Airport

The staff made a very welcoming first impression on my first stay at the Sandman, and I had plenty of room to feel comfortable. I left my car in the lot while I was away on a trip. The price was reasonable, and it seems they keep an eye on the parking area since my vehicle came back without damage. I'd stay here again.

Jonna at the front desk made things easy from the moment I arrived. She was friendly, helpful, always smiling, and made me feel looked after. She went out of her way to answer my questions, and the whole stay felt smooth and pleasant. Thanks, Jonna, for such great service!

The room and housekeeping were fine, though the desk outlets didn't work. What really ruined the night was the constant banging and thumping overhead. I tried calling the front desk at 3:30 a.m., but first had to use my cell phone to scan a QR code and learn how to call from the room phone. The desk person was lovely and said she'd send security up, but the noise went on the rest of the night. It finally stopped around 8:00 a.m. We've stayed here several times before and enjoyed it, so this visit was a letdown. I know there may have been a reasonable explanation for the noise, but some gesture like a complimentary breakfast would have helped. Our senior discount came to less than $5 for two nights. I know decisions like that are made by the company, which is why I'm directing this complaint there. Please improve the customer service, especially for guests like us who lost the first night's room because blowing snow closed all the roads between home and Winnipeg. That's a fact of life on the prairies. Do better, Sandman Hotel. You're making it hard to choose you next time.

Check-in was simple, and the staff were so friendly. Khush at the counter was especially helpful, polite, and professional. Her warm service made an already good hotel stay even better. Much appreciated, and I'd recommend the place!
