Travelodge by Wyndham Rosetown

My daughter arrived late last week while her kids were asleep, and only noticed the bathroom's black mold in the morning. The front desk wouldn't offer her even a discount when she raised it. I called the GM, who refunded her room, perhaps because I'm a Health & Safety Officer. I find it VERY hard to believe the good reviews.

The bed was comfortable, but the room smelled odd. The sink tap sprayed toward my crotch, the tub leaked, and there was no bathroom fan.

The beds were comfortable, the best part of the stay. Everything else made me reluctant to return. The breakfast was just a couple of loaves of bread and cereal, and I didn't trust it enough to eat. Coffee supplies had expired a year or two earlier, and the room clearly hadn't had careful cleaning. There were sticky patches on the floor, so we kept our shoes on, plus a big sunken spot in the room and uneven floors around the hotel. The shower faucet leaked a lot, and the place had an unpleasant smell when we first arrived, though we got used to it. Staff didn't seem to care much about the property. I wouldn't stay here unless I had to.

The front desk lady Penny was helpful and accommodating, and the room was clean, comfortable, and affordable. I was here for four work nights and was happy with the stay. Breakfast was good, with cereal, toast, and baking. I'd definitely come back.
